Ingredients

  1. 2.5 ozwhole wheat farfalle pasta (70 g)
  2. 3.5 ozsmoked salmon (100 g)
  3. 1/2medium white onion
  4. White pepper, to taste
  5. 2 tablespoonsnon-dairy cream
  6. Jack Daniel's whiskey, to taste

    Cook the farfalle in boiling salted water.

  2. 2

    Dice the onion and sauté it in a pan with a little olive oil. Add the smoked salmon, cut into strips, and sprinkle with white pepper. (I never add salt when using smoked salmon because I find it makes the dish taste bitter.)

  3. 3

    When the salmon changes color, add a splash of Jack Daniel's whiskey and let it cook off a bit. (I used to use brandy before trying this variation.)

  4. 4

    Finally, add the non-dairy cream to create a creamy sauce. Toss the pasta in the pan for one minute to combine. Serve hot.
