Ingredients

  • 1 lbNY strip or boneless steak ground by butcher
  • 4 cloveGarlic- crushed
  • 1 eachShallot - minced
  • 1 eachEgg
  • 3 sliceItalian bread soaked in milk
  • 1 cupParmesan cheese -shredded
  • 1 cupRicotta
  • 1 bunchBasil leaves chopped
  • 1Salt and pepper
  • marinara
  • 28 ozCanned whole tomatoes
  • 1 eachShallot - minced
  • 3 cloveGarlic crushed
  • 1 bunchBasil leaves chopped
  • 1Fresh oregano
  • 1Salt and pepper

Steps

  1. 1

    Set oven for 375°F. Put together all ingredients for meatballs. Mix by hand until fully incorporated in large bowl. Makes small balls. Place them on cookie sheet with wiped olive oil. Bake for 25 minutes.

  2. 2

    In a large pot Sauté garlic and shallot in olive oil. Crush can of tomatoes and add. Add salt and pepper. Let cook for 10 minutes. Add basil and oregano.

  3. 3

    Carefully add meatballs into sauce. Dress hoagie roll with sauce and meat balls. Cheese if you like. Bon Apetit!!
