So pops all of a sudden wanted jollof rather than white rice, and I had absolutely no stock *rolls eye* or groundnut oil

Parboil rice

If the stew has sufficient oil, heat it up in a clean pot with some freshly chopped onions, else add more groundnut/palm oil (we were out of groundnut oil)

Blend some onions with crayfish and pepper (depending on the quantity of pepper in the stew)

Mix the blended ingredients with the already heating stew
- 5
Add salt and two cubes of knorr with enough water for the rice
- 6
Allow to boil, then pour in the parboiled rice.

Allow to cook on medium heat.

When almost done, reduce the heat and allow to simmer

Serve with salad or plantain
