Preheat oven to 400°

If your raisins are soft then you are good to go. If they are hard, soak them in a bowl of water for three hours prior to beginning the pie making. Be sure to drain them well.

Line a pie pan with bottom crust.

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl placed over a pot of gently boiling water. (A double boiler)

Cook mixture until it bubbles, about 15 minutes.

Pour into pie crust. Cut top crust into strips and arrange in a criss crossed pattern.

Bake at 400° for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350° and continue baking for an additional 30 minutes or until crust is golden.
