Wash all the ingredients thoroughly, place them in the slow cooker, add water until it's 80% full, cover, and cook on low for 8 hours.

After 8 hours, add brown sugar to taste, and let it soak on the warm setting for at least 30 minutes to allow the ingredients to fully absorb the sweetness. Enjoy.
