Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 cupsMaida
  • 2 tablespoonSooji or rawa
  • 2 tablespoonGhee
  • Water
  • 2 cupsGreen peas
  • 1 cupcoconut
  • 1Green chilli
  • 2 table spoonsCumin seeds
  • Hing
  • Ajwain
  • Dhaniya
  • Cooking oil
  • Salt

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix the flour,salt and ghee.

  2. 2

    Rub together the mixture for 2 minutes till the ghee completely incorporated.you can use a food processor

  3. 3

    Add water

  4. 4

    Keep the dough covered for about 30 minutes.

  5. 5

    Dry grind the co count green chilli coriander, cuminseeds in a mixer.

  6. 6

    And in a mixing bowl&add the peas coconut mixture, ajwain,salt and mix it

  7. 7

    Heat oil for deep frying in a work

  8. 8

    Pinch off small lime sized balls of the dough and roll out into a thin circle about 3-4-inch diameter.

  9. 9

    Use some ghee to reader the working surface

  10. 10

    Flod over the half the circle to make a half moon shape.

  11. 11

    Press and seal the edge taking care that air pockets do not form inside

  12. 12

    After that use Karanji cutter and shape the karanji

  13. 13

    Last step of tasty MATAR Karanji is deep fry on medium heat.........
