Brown Rice Tofu Cream Gratin Brown Rice Tofu Cream Gratin
I was aiming for a macrobiotic gratin that doesn't use any animal products (milk, cheese, mayo etc.) You can get plenty of protein from the tofu, so you don't need to add any meat or bacon. If you don't have a food processor, you could substitute silken tofu for the firm tofu, and whisk vigorously until it becomes smooth. Even if there are a few lumps left, it'll taste delicious since it's tofu. If you increase the amount of firm tofu, make sure add a little soy milk as well. Recipe by Mujiko cookpad.japan -

[Farmhouse Recipe] An Easy Rice Gratin using Rice Flour [Farmhouse Recipe] An Easy Rice Gratin using Rice Flour
I tried making a potage soup first with rice flour, then I tried making stews and gratined dishes. I wanted to make a rice gratin (doria), so I made it with instant turmeric rice and it was delicious. This recipe is now one of our family favorites. You just need to stir fry the rice for 2-3 minutes in Step 5.The dish is just baked briefly until the cheese is browned, so make the sauce and the rice at the same time in two pans, and put them in the baking dish while hot.The turmeric is just added for color, so you can leave it out if you like. My Secret Rice Gratin (Doria) My Secret Rice Gratin (Doria)
I needed to use the rest of a can of whole tomatoes, so I decided to put them in this creamy doria. This is much better than ketchup rice doria...As I thought, mayonnaise and rice are perfect together, right.1. Prepare the gratin dish by coating it lightly with butter.2. Preheat the oven (or toaster oven).Adjust the amount of cheese and mayonnaise to your liking.Adjust the thickness of the bechamel sauce to your liking. Adjust by adding more flower or milk.Erase the smell of raw flour by cooking it well. This works especially well if you cook it together with the vegetables. For serving 2. Doria (Rice Gratin) with Curry Pilaf and White Sauce Doria (Rice Gratin) with Curry Pilaf and White Sauce
I like the combination of curry-flavoured pilaf and white sauce. I made curry pilaf earlier so I made this dish too. By adding tomatoes and broccoli, you can boost the nutrient content of the dish.During Step 3 as you add the milk, it will be a bit thick but will gradually thin out. Stir the sauce constantly over low heat and you won't get any lumps. Instead of fresh tomatoes, you can use canned tomatoes. Just pop some into the middle of the sauce. For 2 servings.
