Persona Curry

Persona 5 on the Playstation 4. A game I shouldn't have, but was satisfied to spend over 100 hours playing. So how did a video game inspire this recipe you may ask?

Well it's simple really. The game featured a function where in the protagonist's residence, he gains experience making curry. Yes , you read that correctly. What's even more interesting is that there's real life trivia surrounding the making of the curry that aids you in making your own. So naturally I dropped the controller, took my wallet and ran to the near grocery shop.

And here we are today.

  2. 2

First off, melt your stick of margarine in your pot. Then start browning your meat on your stove's highest setting. Once the meat's redness starts going, add your onions, garlic and green pepper then continue browning your meat until it starts to slightly stick to the bottom of the pot.

  4. 4

Once the tomatoes begin to break down, add your water to the pot and stir. Then add the apple and ginger while still stirring.

  5. 5

After simmering for atleast 2 minutes. Add the cocoa powder, yoghurt and coffee.

  6. 6

Simmer on a lower heat to reduce the gravy to a desired level. If you feel there needs to be more body or some salt just add soy sauce or oyster sauce to taste.
