Ingredients

2-4 persons
  1. 1cupFor koftas : Bottlegourd/lauki - grated & squeezed
  2. 1 tbspBesan -
  3. 1 tspLasan adrak paste -
  4. 2Green chilli -chopped
  5. 1 tspCoriander leaves - chopped
  6. to tasteSalt
  7. 1 tspLal mirchi powder -
  8. 1/2 tspCiba haldi powder -
  9. 1/2 tspCiba garam.masala -
  10. 1/4 tspCiba hing -
  11. 1/2 tspAjwain -
  12. 1/2 tspAmchoor -
  13. Oil to fry
  14. For gravy :
  15. 1 cupPalak - (blanched & blended)
  16. 2Onions - medium (paste)
  17. 2Tomatoes - medium (pureed)
  18. 1 tspLasan adrak hari mirch paste -
  19. 1 tbspMalai / fresh cream -
  20. to tasteSalt
  21. 1 tspLal mirch powder -
  22. 1 tspCiba haldi powder -
  23. 1 tspCiba garam masala -
  24. 1/4 tspCiba hing -
  25. 1 tspDhania powder -
  26. 1 tbspOil -

Steps

  1. 1

    For kofta : grate lauki, add salt, keep aside for 5 mins. Squeeze properly. Reserve water to use for gravy.

    Mix all ingredients and make balls and fry on medium hot oil till golden brown.

    Keep aside.

    For Gravy : Heat oil in a wok add ciba hing then put lasan adrak hari mirch ka paste. Saute it.

    Add onion paste. Saute and cook for 2 mins until changes colour.

  6. 6

    Add tomato puree. Mix well. Cook till oil separates. Add fresh cream / malai.

    Add pureed/blended spinach.

    Add all dry spices. Mix it and add reserved water.

    Bring to a boil.

  10. 10

    Add koftas. Cover and cook for 5 mins till oil separates.

    Garnish with sliced tomatoes.

    Serve hot with roti/ paratha/plain rice.
