Steps

Firstly wash the rice and udad Dal 2-3 times and soak for 3 hours.

Grind them into a fine paste using little water in a grinder. The batter should be thick. Add salt and soda mix it properly and leave it for fermenting for 3-4 hours.

Take the dhokla container, grease it and dust with flour.

Now take the batter and add crushed black pepper and Salk if required.spread the batter on containers.

Put them in steamer for 20 mins. Once done leave it for 5 mins to cool.

Than turn the container to take out dhokla sheets. Cut in shapes as per your choice.

Take a kadai add oil. When oil gets heated put kadi patta, Jeera, green chilli, Rai and let it cracked for 30 secs.

Pour the tadka on the dhokla cuts. Garnish with fresh corriender leaves.

Serve with tomato chutney and coconut chutney or sweet Gujarati Kadhi......
