Ingredients

  1. 32 ozfresh mushrooms
  2. 1/4 cupparsley
  3. 1/4 cupchive
  4. 1 largeminced garlic
  5. 1 smallminced garlic
  6. 1 stickbutter
  7. 4 tbspflour
  8. 2 boxchicken broth
  9. 2 smallheavy cream
  10. 1chili powder
  11. 1black pepper
  12. 1garlic salt
  13. optional
  14. 1/2 cupdry sherry OR more broth OR water

Cooking Instructions

    Wash mushrooms and chop coarsely.

    Heat butter in 3-quart saucepan.

  3. 3

    Sautée mushrooms and large garlic jar for about 5 minutes. Sprinkle flour to coat.

    Add 1 3/4 boxes of broth gradually, stirring constantly.

  5. 5

    Add parsley, *sherry, chili powder, pepper, salt and remaining garlic, all to taste, which for me means "a crapload." Bring to boil.

    Remove from heat and stir in cream.
