Ingredients

Around 20 Vadas depending on size
  • 1/2 kgTAPIOCA (soaked overnight after straining the water). It will swell and become soft
  • 3-4 Big Boiled Potatoes (mashed)
  • 100 gmGroundnuts (roasted and powdered coarsely) and some full groundnuts (optional)
  • 4Green Chillies (dark green) cut into small pieces
  • 1 sprigCurry Leaves (kadipatha), (fresh if possible) cut into small peices
  • Cummin Seeds (little)
  • to tasteSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Take the soaked Sabudana in a bowl. Add the boiled mashed potatoes, finely cut green chillies, finely cut curry leaves, Cummin Seeds.

    Then add the grounded (coarse) groundnut powder to it. Keep little aside

  3. 3

    Make it into flat balls. Coat it with the groundnut powder kept aside

  4. 4

    Put oil in a frying pan and when the oil is hot fry the Sabudana balls. TAPIOCA VADAS ready.

  5. 5

    Serve with Tomato Ketchup and/or Green chutney or sweetened curd/dahi
