Ingredients

4 servings
  • 200 gmsQuick cooking white oats
  • 200 gmgreen gram sprouts
  • 150 gmswhole wheat cornflakes broken in pieces
  • 100 gmsweet corn boiled
  • 1large onion finely chopped
  • 1large tomato finely chopped and deseeded
  • 1 tbsprock salt/sendha salt
  • 1juice of lemon
  • handfulfreshly chopped coriander leaves
  • For sukha bhel Masala/seasoning:
  • 1/2 cupfinely chopped mint leaves (phudina)
  • 1/4 cuppowdered coriander (dhania)
  • 3garlic pearls
  • 1 tbspchana daal
  • 1 tbsproughly chopped green chillies
  • 1 pinchasafoetida
  • 1 pinchturmeric powder

Steps

  1. 1

    In anon stick pan, dry roast the oats on Low heat for 5-7 minutes/till crisp. keep aside

  2. 2

    Dry roast the garlic and chana daal for 3-4 minutes till slightly brown on medium heat. keep aside with masala ingredients

  3. 3

    Dry grind the ingredients listed under sukha bhel masala into fine powder without adding any water

  4. 4

    In a mixing bowl combine all the ingredients to make the bhel except salt and lemon juice

  5. 5

    Add the sukha bhel masala, salt and lemon juice and toss the entire bhel well

  6. 6

    Check the seasoning and add more salt or finely chopped chillies if needed

  7. 7
