Ingredients

1 hour
6 to 8 servings
  • 1 lbbag frozen purple hull peas
  • 5-6 cupswater
  • 1 tbspsalt
  • 1/2 tbspblack pepper
  • 1/2 tbspgarlic powder
  • 4 slicesbacon

Steps

1 hour
  1. 1

    Empty bag of peas in large pot and add 5 to 6 cups water.

  2. 2

    Turn heat to high and add all the other ingredients and bring to a boil.

  3. 3

    Cover and turn heat to medium and cook for 1 hour or till peas are soft. Stir occasionally and add water if peas cook down. Enjoy!!
