Ingredients

  1. 100 gself raising flour
  2. 1.5 tablespoonscaster sugar
  3. 1 teaspoondried yeast
  4. 1egg
  5. 125 mlmilk
  6. 1 teaspoonbutter
  7. Icing sugar for dusting

Steps

  1. 1

    Fill measuring jug with milk, yeast and butter microwave for 1 min

  2. 2

    Add the flour and sugar to this jug of hot milk and whisk

  3. 3

    Crack in an egg and whisk until thick and batter like

  4. 4

    Using a Poffertjes pan at medium heat pour in mixture. Alternatively use frying pan.

  5. 5

    Once you see them with bubbles in, flip them over.

  6. 6

    Once golden flip them out, dust with sugar and have them for breakfast or dessert with cream and strawberries.
