Ingredients

  1. For dal khichdi (1serving)
  2. 1/8 cupred masoor dal
  3. 1/8 cupyellow moong dal
  4. 1/4 cuprice
  5. 1/4 tspoil
  6. to tastesalt
  7. 2 tbspoil
  8. 1/2 tsp eachMustard and Cumin seeds
  9. 2dry red chilli,
  10. 2 small bay leaves
  11. 1 cinnamom stick
  12. 4-black peppercones,
  13. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  14. 1 tspred chilli powder,
  15. 1/4 cup chopped onion
  16. 1/2 cupchopped tomato,
  17. For sabudana khichdi (1serving)
  18. 1/2 cupsabudana (to be soak)
  19. 1/4 cupboiled potato cubes
  20. 2 tbsproasted peanuts coarse powder
  21. 2 tbspghee
  22. 1/4 tspcumin seeds
  23. as neededFew curry leaves
  24. 1 tspgreen chillies ginger paste
  25. to tasteSalt
  26. 1 tspsugar powder
  27. 1/4lemon piece (juice)
  28. For spinach vegetables khichdi (1serving)
  29. 1/4 cupgreen moong dal
  30. 1/4 cuprice
  31. 3/4 cupspinach puree
  32. 2 tbspghee
  33. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  34. 1/2 tsp garam masala
  35. 1/2 tsp eachmustard and cumin seeds
  36. 1/4 lemon (juice)
  37. 1/4 tspturmeric powder,
  38. as neededFew curry leaves,
  39. to tasteSalt
  40. 1/4 cupboiled mix vegs (carrot, french beans,peas,corn)
  41. as neededGhee for serving
  42. as neededDahi for serving

Steps

    Soak red masoor yellow moong dal,rice for 4hours.

    Cook soak dals and rice in cooker vessel with 1/4 tsp turmeric powder and salt with 1 cup of water for 3 whistles.Chopped tomato and onion.

    In non stick pan cooker,add ghee,..do tempering of mustard,cummin seeds, black pepper seeds,a piece of cinnamon, turmeric powder and red chilli powder,add dry red chillies,bay leaves,saute for 1mins,add chopped onion and tomato,add 1/2 cup water, salt to taste and cook for 5 mins till gravy is formed.

    Add half cooked masoor dal-yellow moong dal-rice khichdi to tomato-onion gravy, mix well..cook for 2 whistles. Cool the cooker for 10 mins before opening.Serve/relish hot dal khichdi by pouring 1tbsp melted ghee on it.

    Soak 1/2 cup sabudana for 4-5 hours with enough water.They will be double in size.Boil & cubed potato,roast peanuts and make coarse powder.

    In non stick pan add & heat ghee..add Cummin seeds,curry leaves and green chilli ginger paste,saute for 30 secs,add soaked sabudana,salt and,sugar..mix well and cook for 2-3 mins..add lemon juice.

    Serve /relish hot sabudana khichdi with curd.

    Soak green moong dal and rice for 4 hours

    Cook soaked green moong dal& rice in cooker vessel with salt..add 1 cup water...for 3 whistles,.Grind few spinach leaves with 1/2cup water..to make puree...boiled mix well vegs(carrot, french beans peas and corn), chopped onion.

    In non stick pan cooker,add & heat ghee do tempering of mustard cummin seeds, cinnamon stick, turmeric powder, garam masala, red chilli powder,saute well,add half cooked moong dal-rice khichdi...mix well add spinach puree..& boiled vegs &lemon juice..mix well..add 1/2cup water,salt to taste and cook for 2 whistles.Cool for 10 mins before opening the cooker.Serve/relish hot spinach veg khichdi by pouring 1tbsp ghee and curd.
