Wash chanadal trice with water and soak in one glass of water for 2 hours. Pressure cook chanadal with 11/2 cups of water for 4 whistles.Cool for 15 mins before opening the lid. Discard extra water from it.Grind cooked chanadal and sugar together to smooth mixture..in mixer jar.

In microwave safe bowl add ghee and cinnamon powder..heat for 30 secs..add& mix smooth mixture of chanadal and sugar in it. Cook in microwave uncovered on high temperature for 5 mins..take out bowl from microwave.. stir the mixture...add saffron flakes.(optional).at this stage.

Again keep this bowl in Microwave and cook on high for another 5 mins.. repeat same process of cooking and stirring till dry thick mixture is formed.(It will take 20 mins..depend on your microwave). Add cardamoms powder mix well.Cool completely before using..as filling.

As the filling mixture being cool..prepare dough..combine wheat flour and ghee in mixing bowl add enough water to make soft dough.(like we make for puris)

Knead dough and make six portion from it and also make six portions from prepared filling.

Take one portion of dough..roll out into 4" diameter round roti..in middle of it spread one portion of filling as shown.

Fold the edges of dough over the filling.. and joined them together..as shown.

Dusting with little wheat flour..roll out into 5"-6" round shape...as shown..cook/roast on non stick tawa with ghee..

On both sides on medium flame..till golden brown in colour..

Similarly with all remaining dough and filling make puranpolis.Serve /relish hot Puranpolis with hot osaman- lachko dal... during Dhanteras/ Diwali festival.
