Ingredients

  1. 1fresh red chili, seeded and finely chopped
  2. 2garlic cloves, crushed
  3. 4 tbspdark soy sauce
  4. 4 tsplemon juice, or one and 1/2 tbsp tamarind juice (if available)
  5. 2 tbsphot water
  6. 2 tbspdeep-fried onion slices

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix the chili, garlic, soy sauce, lemon or tamarind juice and hot water in a bowl

  2. 2

    Stir in the onion slices, and leave to stand for 30 minutes before serving
