#dussehra special
mama's Punjabi recipe.sweet wheat flour ball
Steps
- 1
Take a pan & heat the ghee over low flame
- 2
Now add flour in the ghee to make it brown by stiring regularly as we don't want to have the flour get too brown as it may give a burnt smell
- 3
After the flour is slightly brown, add dry fruits as per your wish & mix well
- 4
For added flavour, we will add khoya to make pinnis....so firstly we will brown the khoya over low heat flame
- 5
Now mix the khoya & flour properly & off the flame
- 6
Now add sugar and mix it well..... your mixture is ready now cool it down for sometime
- 7
After the mixture has cooled down & can be touched....take a small amount of the mixture & make balls
- 8
Place the balls on a tray or plate to cool down and congeal further.
- 9
Garnish the pinnis with Dry fruits like pistachio...
- 10
Your sweat wheat flour balls (pinnis) are ready to eat...
- 11
Eat when the balls are cool. Some people actually like to eat when these are warm as they say the pinnis taste better....
