Ingredients

  • Self raising flour
  • Sugar
  • Grated lemon rind
  • Margarine
  • Oil for deep frying

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix everything into a smooth dough,let rest for 30 mins.

  2. 2

    Heat the oil in a shallow frying pan.

  3. 3

    Meanwhile roll the dough to finger thickness and cut into strips.

  4. 4

    Braid the strips and fry in the oil.

  5. 5

    Drain and serve preferably cold.
