Ingredients

15 to 20 mins
4 to 5 servings
  1. 3 cupthin poha / beaten rice
  2. 3 tbspoil
  3. 1 tbsppeanuts
  4. 2 tbspgram dal
  5. 1 tbspdried grated potato
  6. 2 tbspdry coconut chopped
  7. 1 tspmustard
  8. 10-12dried potato chips
  9. 2dried red chilli broken
  10. pinchhing / asafoetida
  11. leavesfew curry
  12. 1/4 tspturmeric
  13. 1/4 tspsalt
  14. little chilli powder
  15. 2 tsplemon juice
  16. 2 tbspfinely chopped onions
  17. 2 tbspfinely chopped coriander leaves
  18. 1 tsproasted coriander and cumin powder

Steps

15 to 20 mins
  1. 1

    Take a deep non stick pan add oil in it. Then add fried grated potato, dried potato chips and keep aside.

  2. 2

    Then add mustard seeds, when the mustard seeds crackle add pea nuts, fried gram and saute for a minute.

  3. 3

    Then add broken red chillies and then switch of the gas.

  4. 4

    Add turmeric powder, salt, red chilli powder, roasted coriander and cumin powder, grated potato and chips. Mix well.

  5. 5

    Let it cool for 5 to 10 minutes. Then add poha and mix well.

  6. 6

    Switch on the gas and roast the poha till it becomes crispy on low to medium heat.

  7. 7

    Garnish with chopped coriander leaves, finely chopped onions and lemon juice.
