I used to work at a pizza place and I loved their taco pizza. I searched for years to find a decent recipe and eventually had to come up with my own. Pictured is my half taco / half sausage and pepperoni pizza. The pepperoni and sausage half is described in another recipe.

Ingredients

Rosemary garlic or cracker crust
1 cupOrtega taco sauce
Mozzarella and cheddar blend (½ and ½)
Sliced black olives
1 lb.ground beef
2 packagesOrtega taco seasoning
Chopped iceberg lettuce
Chopped fresh tomato
Crushed tortilla chips

Steps

Mix both packets of taco seasoning into the raw beef. Split into 4 equal parts and freeze 3 for later.

Simmer sauce down to about 1/3 cup to thicken.

Spread sauce to the edge of crust

Add cheese to a thumbnail’s width from the edge.

Pinch and flick on taco meat.

Add olives.

Bake on a pizza stone until done (about 10 minutes).

Cut, and then add lettuce, tomato, and chips in that order before serving.
