Ingredients

  • 2 poundsground beef
  • 1 poundground sausage
  • 1medium onion (diced)
  • 1/2red bell pepper (diced)
  • 1/2green bell pepper (diced)
  • 1 Tablespoonminced garlic
  • 1 candiced tomatoes (28 oz.)
  • 1 canrotel tomatoes
  • 1 cantomato paste
  • 12 ouncesbeer
  • 1 canblack beans
  • 1 cankidney beans
  • 1 canranch style beans
  • 1 teaspoonblack pepper
  • 3 teaspoonssalt
  • 2 teaspoonground cumin
  • 2 teaspoonsground oregano
  • 1 Tablespoonbasil
  • 1-2 teaspoonscayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cupchili powder
  • 1/2 teaspooncelery seed
  • 1 TablespoonWorcestershire sauce

Steps

2 1/2 hours
  1. 1

    Brown ground beef and sausage in 5 quart pot on medium-high heat. Drain excess grease.

  2. 2

    Mix all additional ingredients in pot and bring to a boil.

  3. 3

    Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 2 hours. Taste and adjust salt, pepper and chili powder if needed. The longer it simmers and stands the better the taste.

  4. 4

    Allow chili to cool and top with cheddar cheese.
