Ingredients

  1. Rhubarb
  2. Cooking apples
  3. to tasteSugar
  4. Small amount of water
  5. 1 cupself-raising flour
  6. 3/4 cupsoft brown sugar
  7. 125 gbutter - cubed
  8. 1/4 cupflakes almonds

Steps

  1. 1

    Cook rhubarb and apples in a small amount of water and add sugar to taste. Cool and place in ovenproof dish

    Flour, brown sugar and butter goes into a mixing bowl. Rub in butter until it looks like rough breadcrumbs. Mix through flaked almonds.

    Sprinkle evenly over rhubarb and apple mixture. Bake at 180 degrees C for 30- 40 minutes or until golden. Don’t worry if the fruit bubbles through.

    Serve warm with custard, yoghurt or ice cream. Also good cold

Thanks, it's a very good recipe, I don't like to put rolled oats for treats, cookies or cake
