Wash gram dal 2-3 times and soak in water for 15 minutes and cook in pressure cooker till 1 whistle. (Cook 80%) adding few drops of oil and pinch of turmeric and salt.

Boil Fenugreek seeds 10-12 minutes in water without touching or stirring. Then remove water and transfer it in seive and wash 4-5 times in running clean water.

Heat oil in kadhai add cumin seeds and mustard seeds, add Asafoetida then add boiled gram dal,salt and turmeric pwder,red chilli pwder in it. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes if it looks thick you can add water in it. When dal started boiling add Fenugreek seeds, cook it 1-2 minutes then add coriander powder and dry mango pwder and cook it becomes soft. Both(gram dal - Fenugreek seeds)

Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve with fulka or chapati.
