Ingredients

60 minutes
50 - 60 cookies
  • 7 ozbutter at room temperature (about 200 grams)
  • 1/2 cupgranulated sugar (about 120 grams)
  • 1large egg
  • 1/4 cupfresh orange juice (about 70 ml)
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 1 teaspoonvanilla extract or 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 3 1/2 ozroasted & finely chopped hazelnuts (about 100 grams)
  • 3 1/2 ozchocolate chips (about 100 grams)
  • 2 3/4 cupsall-purpose flour (about 350 grams)
  • 1/2 teaspoonbaking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoonsalt

    In a mixer bowl, beat the butter with the sugar until it becomes a fluffy cream.

  2. 2

    Add the salt, zest, vanilla, and egg. Beat for 2 minutes.

  3. 3

    Continue by adding the orange juice.

  4. 4

    Sift half of the flour into the mixture and mix on low speed for 2 minutes. Add the baking soda.

  5. 5

    Add the hazelnuts and chocolate chips.

  6. 6

    Sift the remaining flour into the mixture and beat on low speed until incorporated.

  7. 7

    Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

  8. 8

    Dip two teaspoons in a bowl of water. Scoop dough with one spoon and push it onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper using the other spoon.

  9. 9

    Arrange the cookies, leaving a 1 1/2-inch gap between them.

  10. 10

    Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 20 minutes.

  11. 11

    Once out of the oven, wait 5 minutes and transfer to a rack to cool.
