Ingredients

  • 2 CupsAtta / wheat flour
  • 1 CupArhar Dal (boiled)
  • 2 tbspDry Methi Leaves
  • 1 tspGreen Chillies Paste
  • 1/2 tspHaldi / turmeric
  • 1 tspGaram Masala / whole spice powder
  • 1 pinchHing /asafoetida
  • as per tasteSalt
  • as per needOil

Steps

  1. 1

    Take a large bowl and add all the dry ingredients. Start kneading them. Add little water and keep kneading. The dough should be smooth and the stiffness should medium.

  2. 2

    Cover the dough with a samp cloth and keep aside for 20 minutes.

  3. 3

    After 20 minutes, knead the dough again. Divide the dough into equal sized balls. Roll them out into pooris.

  4. 4

    Deep fry until golden brown and crispy and all puffed up. Enjoy with Chana Masala or Aloo ki subji.
