Boil toor daal in pressure cooker after adding peanuts in it. Let it whistle for4-5 times. Now whisk it well with hand whisker.

Heat the oil in a pan, crackle mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Then add asafoetida, cloves, black pepper, bay leaves, curry leaves and green chillies in it.

Add finely chopped tomatoes cook it for 2-3 minutes then add turmeric powder, coriander powder,red chilli powder, garam masala and roast it well for minute.

Add toor daal, water, salt, jaggery, coriander leaves, ginger and boil it well for 4-5 minutes.

Garnish with coriander leaf and serve hot with rice.
