Steps

RECEIPE:
Take 500gms of Biri/Black Gram, add water and keep it to soak for 3 to 4 hours. Then grind it to make a smooth paste. To it add 4oogms of suji/semolina, 500gms of sugar. Add 250gms of Grated Paneer/chena and mix well. - 2
Then add small pieces of Coconut, grated coconut, finely chopped ginger, 5-6 spoon of Ghee, 1 tablespoon of Black Pepper Powder, salt as per taste.
- 3
Add 1tps of green cardamom powder, and 2-3 bay leaves. Now mix the batter properly.
- 4
Take an oven tray, apply some ghee over it and then add the batter. Put this tray in the oven and let it bake.
It will take around 1 and half hour to bake, sometimes it may even take few more minutes. - 5
Now to check whether the Poda Pitha is ready or not, take a knife and poke it in the center of the Pitha, if the knife comes out clean that means it's ready. Take it out in a plate, cut it into small pieces and serve hot. It also tastes amazing after it cools down a bit. I personally don't refrigerate it as it makes the Pitha a bit hard.

Enjoy the authentic taste of Biri PodaPitha.
