Ingredients

  1. 1 cupMoong dal
  2. 1/4 cupMoong dhuli dal
  3. 1/4 cupChana dal / bengal gram
  4. 1/4 cupUrad dal
  5. 2Onions chopped
  6. 2Chopped tomatoes
  7. 1 tbsp crushedGinger
  8. 1 tsp each asafoetida, cumin seeds
  9. 2 tbspOil
  10. as requiredCoriander seeds,red chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder
  11. 1 bunchChopped green coriander leaves

Cooking Instructions

    Boil all the pulses together in a pressure cooker.wait for three whistle.add some salt and turmeric powder.

    Add oil to pan. Add asafoetida and cumin seeds.

    Add chopped onion and ginger.cook until it becomes pink.

  4. 4

    Add chopped tomatoes. Cook for a while.

  5. 5

    Add coriander powder, turmeric powder,red chilli powder and salt to taste.

    Add this mixture to boiled dal.mix well.

  7. 7

    Garnish with fresh green coriander leaves.

  8. 8

    Serve with chapatti.
