Cooking Instructions
- 1
Soak moong dal for 2 -3 hrs, grind it adding garlic - ginger paste and green chillies as per taste. Make thick batter. If batter is not thick it won’t shape well as appes
- 2
Next add semolina and curd to the batter. Add chopped spinach, mashed sweet kernel, Chaat masala and salt. Mix well. Keep it aside for half an hour at least.
- 3
Add the soda bi carbonate to the batter and ensure to move it one direction only to mix it well.
- 4
Pre heat appam pan, grease it with oil. Sprinkle sesame seeds and mustard seeds. Once it starts to crackle put 2 tbsp of the batter in it.
- 5
Let it cook on medium flame. Cover the appam pan with lid.
Once the lower surface becomes golden brown turn each appe upside down using a spoon so as to cook them from the other side as well and let it cook for 2 minutes. - 6
Serve immediately or pack it up in tiffins for kids with coconut chutney or tomato 🍅 sauce.

Cheesy Parmesan Corn Meal Mush Cheesy Parmesan Corn Meal Mush
Corn meal mush is a very versatile dish that is popular primarily in the Southern United States. It works a lot like polenta in that it can be served fresh and soft, or it can be chilled, sliced, and fried. The main difference between "mush" and polenta is the corn meal used for mush is not as finely ground as that used for polenta, and in the US when corn meal Mush is served it's usually used as a breakfast food and sweetened. I like using it more as a savory side and this is what we have in this simple recipe. StephieCanCook -

Cheesy Broccoli Cornbread 🧀🥦 Cheesy Broccoli Cornbread 🧀🥦
This is a nice twist on classic cornbread. The cottage cheese makes it wonderfully moist. Plus, you get the benefit of the broccoli. There’s plenty of room for customization. For example, you can use a different cheese if you don’t like cheddar. While I prefer the convenience of frozen broccoli, you can always use freshly steamed broccoli. If you double the recipe (because, really, why not?), you can bake it in a 9x13” pan. Whatever you choose, be prepared for people to ask for the recipe! 😋This recipe is modified from The Food Network#GlobalApron Week 6: Cottage cheese, Cheddar cheese#Side #Quickbread #Veggie #Savory #Potluck #Baked Chris Gan -
