Ingredients

  1. 4potatoes chopped into small cubes
  2. 1 tspkashmiri chilli powder
  3. 1 tspsambhar powder
  4. 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  5. 4 tbspoil
  6. 1/4 tspmustard seeds
  7. 1/4 tspurad dal
  8. 1/4 tspgram dal
  9. 1/4 tspsalt or to taste
  10. 2 sprigscurry leaves
  11. 3 sprigcoriander leaves for garnish

Cooking Instructions

    In a heavy bottomed pan add oil on a medium heat. Add mustard seeds,urad dal and gram dal and let it splutter. Now add chopped potato cubes and mix well.

    To it add kashmiri chilli powder, sambhar powder, turmeric powder and salt to taste. Mix well and cook on a low heat until potato is soft. Now open the lid and roast until it crisp outside and soft inside. Add curry leaves and garnish it with coriander leaves. It's a well accompaniment for rice and rotis.
