Pan-Fried Cod with Butter Soy Sauce

I love this combination of flavors for all kinds of seafood, including squid. My mother used to make this for me when I was growing up.
Make sure to pan fry it until golden brown, then flip over.
Cod falls apart easily when cooked, so use a spatula.
If the fish is very thick, put a lid on the pan to make sure it cooks through.
You can use any kind of fish you like, but if you use salted salmon or other salty fish, reduce the amount of soy sauce. For 2 servings. Recipe by Chiton
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Note: Cod falls apart easily. So use a spatula and be careful when you flip it over.
- 2
Heat up a frying pan and spread some oil in it. Pan fry the cod filets.
- 3
Flip them over when golden brown, and fry the other side too.
- 4
When both sides are browned and the fish is cooked through, add the butter.
- 5
When the butter has melted add the soy sauce. Coat both sides of the fish in the sauce, and it's done.
- 6
Transfer to serving plates, spoon the sauce over and enjoy. If you have some daikon radish sprouts or chopped green onions for garnish, it will look prettier.

Fresh Cod with Pil Pil Sauce Fresh Cod with Pil Pil Sauce
It's worth spending a little extra time to make a good pil pil. With just four ingredients, you can create an exquisite dish... good cod, extra virgin olive oil, garlic, and chili pepper. It's said that the name 'pil pil' comes from the sound produced during the confit of the cod, as some of the albumin bubbles burst with a 'pil' sound. Sweet Potatoes with Butter Soy Sauce Sweet Potatoes with Butter Soy Sauce
New potatoes have a light flavor, so I thought they might go well with butter and soy sauce and I created this recipe. My potato loving daughter loves these.Be sure to dry out the boiled potatoes in the pan until they're covered with a fine coating of potato flour before adding the butter and soy sauce. By evaporating any excess water, the flavors will blend better. The skins of new potatoes are delicious too, so wash them well and eat them whole. This recipe is delicious with regular potatoes too!
