Toffee/candy grapes
Candy apples are nice but too much for most adults, so these are smaller and more juicy!
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Push a stick into each grape
- 2
Line two baking trays with baking paper
- 3
Heat the sugar and water in a heavy-bottomed saucepan over low heat. Simmer, stirring continuously, until the sugar has completely dissolved. Stop stirring and increase heat until syrup boils.
- 4
Using a wet pastry brush, brush away any sugar crystals that have stuck to the sides of the saucepan above the syrup level.
- 5
Stir in the cream of tartar and food colouring. Reduce heat to low
- 6
Simmer the toffee for 20 minutes or until it reaches hard, cracking stage. (To check if it has reached this stage, add 1 teaspoon of toffee to a glass of ice-cold water. Remove solidified toffee from the cold water and bend it. The toffee should crack easily and not bend or feel sticky.) Once toffee is at this stage remove from heat immediately.
- 7
Wait until toffee stops bubbling then dip one grape into the toffee. Tip the pan at an angle to coat it completely, especially around the base of the stick.
- 8
Place coated toffee grape onto the prepared baking tray.
- 9
Repeat with remaining grapes and leave to set at room temperature
- 10
Store in an air tight container in the fridge, should last about 3 days, will get sticky over time

Candy Eyes (Made from Royal Icing) 👀 Candy Eyes (Made from Royal Icing) 👀
Edible candy eyes come in handy for all sorts of fun projects. However, they can be a little expensive. I saw a small package at my local supermarket for almost $7.00 the other day!I found a recipe online that looked pretty easy, and since I already had all of the ingredients and equipment, I gave it a try. I’m pleased to say that the consistency and taste of these homemade eyes are much better than the store-bought version!!This recipe came from Sarah‘s Bake Studio#Decoration #Halloween #Candy #Cute #Creepy Chris Gan -

Kinako Candy Kinako Candy
I felt so nostalgic for the 'kinako candy' I used to get from the local sweet shop when I was a child... I want to give it to my children if I have some, so I wrote down the recipe. The unsaturated fatty acids in the kinako help to make your blood healthy. If there's some kinako left in the pan after taking the paste out, add some milk to make kinako milk (so as not to waste the kinako). When forming the candy, make sure to cool it down enough to handle so you don't burn yourself.Enjoy this candy both freshly made and chilled! For 20 pieces. Recipe by moon5601 cookpad.japan -

Peach Nerikiri (Sweet Bean Paste Confections) - Easy Wagashi to Make for Dolls' Festival Peach Nerikiri (Sweet Bean Paste Confections) - Easy Wagashi to Make for Dolls' Festival
Sakura mochi are the traditional sweets to serve and are always nice, but since Doll's Day festival is also Peach Festival, I thought a peach-themed treat would be fun to try.Your cooking time will differ depending on the water in the white bean paste.Remember that the dough will stiffen when chilled. When you shape the dough using plastic wrap, and the dough sticks to the wrap when you try to remove it, that means that there is still too much water in the dough. This will look very peach-like if you marbleize the pink and white portions so there is no clear boundary. For Christmas! Candy Cane Cookies For Christmas! Candy Cane Cookies
I got the candy cane shape idea from an American recipe website, so I made it with my favorite cookie batter called "melting moment" which is equivalent to snowball cookies in Japan I think. This cookie is so delicious! If you can't shape it well, roll it up into balls and simply bake! The dough is not easy to roll out, so do not make it too small, or it will break after baking. I recommend making the stick thick. If the cookies brown too much, the coloring won't turn out as cute, so be careful not to over bake! Please try this with your favorite cookie batter. For about 28 sticks. Recipe by aquariusmoon cookpad.japan
