Ingredients

4 persons
  1. 2 cupsbasmati rice
  2. 1whole chicken around 1 kg
  3. 400 gminced meat
  4. 3 tablespoonvegetable oil for cooking or 1 tablespoon of mar
  5. 1 teaspoonmany spices or 7 peppers powder
  6. 1/4 teaspoonturmeric (optional)
  7. 1 teaspoonsalt
  8. 3 cupschicken broth for cooking
  9. 1bit of vegetable oil to fry the chicken
  10. to poach the chicken:
  11. 5 cupswater
  12. cinnamon stick, big bay leaf, 3 cardamom seeds, 3 carnations,
  13. Black pepper
  14. to garnish:
  15. 3 tablespoonsfried pine nuts

Cooking Instructions

    Wash the rice and soak for an hour

  2. 2

    Clean, wash and drain the chicken, then in a pot, fry with a bit of vegetable oil

  3. 3

    Later, cover in water and bring it to boil, add the spices and keep on low heat till well done.

    Remove the chicken from the broth and take away the bones.

    Drain the broth to use it in cooking

    In another pot, pour some vegetable oil or margarine to cook the minced meat

  7. 7

    Stir till well done, add the rice, stir all together, add spices and broth, cover the pot and cook the rice for 25 mins till done.

    Serving
    In the serving dish, put the rice and spread above the boneless chicken, garnish with fried pine nuts.

    Served hot with cucumber and yogurt sauce or as desired.#
