Ingredients

  1. 2 kgchicken/ or whole chicken as desired
  2. vegetable oil/ enough quantity to fry the chicken
  3. 6 cupswater/ as needed
  4. 2tsps of salt
  5. spices
  6. 1onion
  7. 4bay leaves
  8. 2cinnamon sticks
  9. For serving:
  10. 1 cup(approximately) of lemon juice as desired

Cooking Instructions

    Clean the chicken well

  2. 2

    In a wide deep pan, pour oil and fry the chicken pieces until they turn a reddish colour, then remove from oil.

    In a wide pot, pour enough quantity of water with spices and add the chicken pieces, boil until well done. Add salt and cook for almost 1 hour until a consistent broth has formed

    Remove spices from the broth

  5. 5

    Pour the chicken stew and serve in a dish. Add the lemon juice. Serve hot with vermicelli rice on the side
