Ingredients

  1. 1/4 cupraw honey
  2. 1/2 cupnatural organic peanut butter (I use one with only peanuts as ingredient)
  3. 1/2 cuppumpkin seeds
  4. 1/2 cupsunflower seeds
  5. 1/2 cupcrushed mixed nuts of choice
  6. 1/2 cupunsweetened coconut flakes
  7. 4 Tbschia seeds
  8. 2 Tbscinnamon
  9. 2 Tbsreal vanilla
  10. 2 Tbsoil of choice
  11. 2 cupsold fashioned oats
  12. 2 cupsdried fruit of choice
  13. Cocao nibs optional

Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 300

  2. 2

    Mix honey, pb, oil, cinnamon and vanilla very thoroughly

  3. 3

    Add nuts, seeds, coconut and oats

  4. 4

    Mix thoroughly

  5. 5

    On parchment lined baking sheet, press out granola

  6. 6

    If you crowd the pan you will end up with granola clusters, if you would rather have a crumbly granola spread it onto two pans

  7. 7

    Bake at 300 for 30 minutes

  8. 8

    Do NOT stir as it bakes

  9. 9

    Add dried fruit and cocao nibs

  10. 10

    Allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces

  11. 11

    Store in an air tight container in the fridge

Started cooking/baking with Gram just as soon as I was old enough to stand in a chair, with her apron tied around my chest. Made my first solo Thanksgiving meal at age 8. Putting a new flair on classic nothern New England style cooking.
