Ingredients

  • 1 cuptur daal
  • 1 cupchopped methi leaves
  • 2 tsp chopped garlic
  • to tasteSalt
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1-2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp hing
  • 1/2 tspmustard, cumin seeds
  • as requiredOil for tadka and frying methi
  • as requiredWater for diluting dal

Steps

  1. 1

    In a vessel take oil add chopped methi leaves and saute till soft. Add water and cook soft.

    Add cooked dal add water, salt and bring to boil.

  3. 3

    In a tadka pan heat 2 -3 tsp oil add mustard, cumin and chopped garlic. Let it become brown. Then switch off the flame. Take the tadka pan down and add red chilli powder and pour over dal.

    Ready to serve hot with hot rice.
