Sweet potatoes for breakfast? Crazy, right? It's actually really good, and although this can also make for a great dinner side dish, it is a nice way to start a late summer/fall morning!

This is one of our mother's home cooking in Japan. The taste soaks in after the next day. If you like, I recommend that you add a squeeze of lemon or lemon slices when simmered. Sometimes I make this with raisins in it. It's also so nice! Please give it a try.

This is a famous indonesian snack. Sweet potatoes dough (either purple or yellow works well), with palm sugar filling, coated with grated coconut. The palm sugar will ooze when you bite it. Make sure you put the whole ondeh ondeh inside your mouth!
