Ingredients

  1. 1 cupbesan (gram flour)
  2. 1medium finely chopped onion
  3. 1tomato
  4. 1-2green chillies
  5. 1 tbspchopped coriander
  6. 1 tspAjwain
  7. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  8. 1 tspred chilli powder
  9. to tasteSalt
  10. Oil

Cooking Instructions

    Take a bowl. Add besan, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, Ajwain, salt, chopped onion,chopped green chillies.

    Make fine paste of the tomato(my kids doesn't like tomato peices, you can chop finely and add) and add to the besan, and mix with little water. Make a batter like we make for pancakes.

    Heat a pan/tawa. Grease with 1 tsp oil and add 1 ladle full of batter and spread on tawa. Cover and cook for few minutes.

    Turn when it's golden brown. Cook from other side for 2 mins. And take it out from tawa. Repeat the process for remaining batter.

    Serve with tomato sauce or any chutney of your choice. Enjoy your besan chilla.
