Hot Jalapeno and Garlic Relish

After a few days, the heat is toned down considerably. Very tasty as a substitute for regular relish. Mix and match different peppers, just be aware of their heat index when doing so

This is one of those, "make it the way you like it" recipes! It's pepper season and this delicious recipe is a great way to enjoy peppers, ALL peppers! I used banana peppers and jalapenos because my tastebuds are notorious wimps, but you can crank the heat up as high as you want. Just hold to the pepper, sugar/water, seasoning ratios and have fun putting your own spin on things. Nena's.cook.nook -

This relish was a staple growing up. My Grandmother had it freshly made at all times. It also freezes very well in small containers. It is really versatile, good with ham, hamburgers, hot dogs, in sandwiches, baked beans, any place you would like a bit of zesty sweetness! fenway -

It's hard to find something you can eat and not worry about what in the world did they put into my food. A lot of unique condiments have different things in them like MSG, well I happen to be allergic to MSG. I pick up chicken broth or bouillon MSG second or even first ingredient. Well here is one that doesn't have MSG added to it. This is why one reason I cook so much so I can eat something without so many worries. skunkmonkey101 -
