Ingredients

15 minutes
2 servings
  • 2 cupsidli batter
  • 1 tbspsesame oil
  • 2 tbspmustard seeds
  • 1 tbspurad dal
  • 6-7curry leaves
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 2 tspgunpowder masala or 1 tsp black pepper and 1/2 tsp red chilli powdwer
  • 1/4 cupfinely chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/2lemon for juice

Steps

15 minutes
  1. 1

    Take mini idli mould stand, oil the moulds and pour spoonful of batter into each mould. Steam in cooker for 8-10 minutes. Turn off heat. Take out the mould. Allow to cool for 5 minutes and then scoop out the idlis out of mould.

  2. 2

    In a pan, heat sesame oil, temper mustard seeds and urad dal. The dal should turn slightly brown

  3. 3

    Add curry leaves, sizzle for few seconds. Aadd chilli powder or gunpowder masala

  4. 4

    Add mini idlis. Mix well. Add coriander leaves and a dash of lemon juice.

  5. 5

    Serve as snack.
