Dal dhokli chat

My love for gujrati dal DHOKLI will never end. Being Marwadi I never liked sweet dal of kadi but some how I started liking this quick and healthy recipe from Gujrat. My passion of cooking allowed me to experiment with my favourite dish. I tried Dal DHOKLI tadka and dal DHOKLI chat. This chat came out good so I am sharing you the recipe.

My passion of cooking allowed me to experiment with my favourite dish. I tried Dal DHOKLI tadka and dal DHOKLI chat. This chat came out good so I am sharing you the recipe.

Knead dough for dhokli. Wheat flour, salt, carom seeds, red chilli powder, oil. Mix them well.

Add water little by little. Knead tight dough. Keep dough aside for resting.

Pressure cook moong dal adding turmeric and little pinch of salt.

Roll dhokli dough in flat chapattis and half bake them on tawa.

Cut dhokli in diamond shape.

Heat oil in pan. Add cumin seed, curry leaves, slit green chillies and peanuts

Add water and bring it to boil then add pressure. cooked moong dal. Again give one boil.

Add jaggery and dhokli. Cook till dhokli get soft and dal get thik.

Turn off the flame.

Take a plate and put cooked dal DHOKLI and pour some ghee on this. Add dash of lemon juice.

Garnish with green chutney, imli chutney, roasted peanuts, chopped chillies, ginger Julian and nylon sev. Add coriander leaves. Enjoy
