Sausage meat stuffed patty pans

This is the 1st time I have cooked a patty pan and had to look for some inspiration from cookpad, @skunkmonkey101 gave me the right idea, as I knew my fussy eaters wouldn't just eat the funny shaped squashes, stuffed with my favourite sausage meat was the way to go. It also felt a bit as goldilocks as we had three different sizes patty pans, mummy bear went for the biggest and it was delicious.

Bake the patty pans in the oven until tender for about 30 minutes at 160°C

Cut top off the squashes and hollow them, I used both my pumpkin carving spoon and my melon baller

Season patty pans inside, just a little pinch of salt and pepper will do.

Sautee 1 garlic clove and before it turns gold add the chopped meat of the patty pans. Once they start to soften and colour add the seasoned sausage meat, mine is already seasoned with black pepper and nutmeg.

Stuff the squashes carefully so that you don't break the skin. Top with a bit of bechamel sauce

Bake in oven for further 20 minutes or until bechamel start to brown a bit
