Sabudana Upma, like sooji/daliya can be prepared as a breakfast. This is healthy, nutritious and filling.
I used here small Sago , available in market. It needs only 30 minutes to be soaked and swell up in water. There's no change in taste. Both the small and large sabudana taste same.

I used here small Sago , available in market. It needs only 30 minutes to be soaked and swell up in water. There's no change in taste. Both the small and large sabudana taste same.

Arrange the ingredients.

Heat ghee and oil. Add cumin seeds, allow to crackle.

Add chana dal and urad dal and saute on low heat.

Add dry chili and curry leaves. Saute for two minutes. Add peanuts.

When the dals turn brown add chopped onion and green chili, chopped ginger. Saute till the onion gets translucent.

Mix the boiled potato chunks and fry for some time.

Further mix chaat masala and sambar powder and mix well.

Then add soaked sabudana, mix well with masala potato. Switch off the flame.

Gradually sabudana tun transparent like pearls and then the upma is done.

Garnish with green coriander and serve.
