First, boil the potatoes in water for about 20-25 minutes until tender. Peel and cut them into slices or large chunks.

Cook the bacon pieces in a pan and set aside.

In a skillet, sauté the onion and garlic in olive oil.

Add the mushrooms and cook until tender, then add the potatoes, grate in some nutmeg, add thyme, and stir in the cream or yogurt.

Season to taste with salt and pepper, and mix well.

Transfer everything to an oven-safe dish and top with Morbier cheese or another cheese like Reblochon.

Bake for about 20 minutes at 400°F (200°C).
