Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsfresh okra, sliced into coins
  2. 2small sweet potatoes
  3. 1 teaspoonthinly chopped fresh ginger root
  4. 1small or medium onion chopped
  5. 1 (32 oz)box chicken broth
  6. 5 cupswater
  7. 1 (10 oz)can of Rotel diced tomatoes & green chilies
  8. Sprigeach: fresh parsley and basil leaves
  9. 1 tablespoonmillet
  10. 1 teaspoonCaldo de Tomate tomato bullion
  11. 1 teaspoonfresh gatlic
  12. 1 teaspoonapple cider viniger
  13. 1 sprigfresh basil for garnish at serving
  14. 1/2 cupwheel shaped rotelle pasta
  15. 1 tspSoy Sauce
  16. 1 tspextra salt to taste (optional)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Add box of broth and water to large pot.

  2. 2

    Slice okra in coin size slices.

  3. 3

    Chop onion.

  4. 4

    Thinly slice and chop ginger root.

  5. 5

    Add chopped ingredients to the liquid.

  6. 6

    Slice potato and chop, then add to the liquid.

  7. 7

    Chop fresh parsley and basil and add to liquid.

  8. 8

    Add remaining ingredients to the liquid.

  9. 9

    Bring to a boil, then simmer for 2 hours.

  10. 10

    Save a bit of the parsley and basil to garnish the soup at serving.
