Cooking Instructions

Dissolve gelatin in cold water stir it and set aside for 10 minutes.

In other sauce pan add 2 cups of water and let it simmer.

When water boiled add gelatin mixture, strawberry essence and red food colour.

Cook until gelatin mixture dissolved and jelly goes transparent and thick.

Pour mixture into a container and place into fridge for half hour or till set.
- 6
Cut into pieces and serve. Strawberry jelly is ready to serve.

I love strawberries so I use lots of them.I always make this when I can get my hands on cheap and tasty strawberries.I finally came up with this recipe after many trial and errors, thinking about the following points: To prevent discoloration, the gelatin liquid should be pinkish, prevent scum floating on top and keep a nice strawberry texture. The picture has two layers, and the bottom part is milk pudding. I used gelatin that requires 250 ml liquid per 5 g gelatin powder. This is a pudding made from milk. It's good for summer or when you don't have much appetite. I changedby omitting the step of whipping the cream and increasing the amount of heavy cream. I think it tastes about the same. I've also made blancmange with azuki bean paste and black sesame added, and this recipe made it really easy.The directions for the gelatin I used said to use up to 300 ml with 5 g of gelatin, so I dissolved 10 g of gelatin in 100 ml of water. Please read the directions on the package of gelatin. If you boil gelatin, it may not set. You just need to dissolve it, so it's better not to let the milk boil.
