Christmas french toast

Bazos @Bazos
I called this Christmas french toast because we would always have it growing up only on Christmas morning and my birthday. It really should be called fried french toast (we called it one egg french toast).

Warm, crispy toast with a cinnamon-sugar topping and some Quebec maple syrup. Whipped cream, fresh fruit, or fruit preserves are excellent additions to this sweet breakfast. Adjust the level of sugar to your liking. You can also make it savoury by omitting the sweet stuff and going with herbs! Try rosemary and paprika, and grease the pan with olive oil instead of butter. Italian seasoning works too.Kit

Orange French Toast Orange French Toast
I used to buy ready-made orange toast, but I don't see it on sale anymore so I tried making it myself. If you prefer the toast to be soft, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of milk to the orange juice that you soak the bread in. If you like the toast to be crispy, don't add milk to the orange juice and use a baguette instead of sliced bread. Recipe by Kajesan cookpad.japan -
