My first attempt to cook a plant based Bolognese 🍝
What I discovered: the key to a tasty Bolognese is the slow cooked sauce with quality ingredients....⏱️😋 I'm not convinced that the plant based beef is necessary at all, I might just leave it out altogether... (and / or cook occasionally with meat). ☺️ Also, both my vegetarian and beef Bolognese tasted even better the next day.
Overall, happy that I finally got started with Beyond Beef, and I look forward to exploring new vegetarian dishes... 🌱😋

Start by cutting the veggies and basil. I like to have the carrots shredded, this way they'll mix in nicely into the Bolognese sauce

Fry the plant based ground for about 5 minutes, and add in veggies and basil.

Mix in tomato can and paste, as well as a splash of red wine. Let the sauce slowly cook on a low heat (ideally at least an hour). Continue tasting the sauce and adjusting seasoning. Serve with pasta or rice.
